We believe in the sanctity of life.

Every human, in every condition from conception to natural death, is made in God's image and possesses inestimable worth. Abortion runs contrary to these beliefs.

Scriptures for Counseling - Identity

By Dr. Brian Campbell, from Pearls, Scriptures to Live By

Identity

Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." (Genesis 1:26)

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27)

0 LORD, you are our Father. (Isaiah 64:8)

We are his offspring. (Acts 17:28)

The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life. (Job 33:4)

Rich and poor have this in common: the LORD is the maker of them all. (Proverbs 22:2)

And just as we have born the likeness of the earthly man, so shall we bear the likeness of the man from heaven. (1 Corinthians 15:49)

And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3:18)

In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. (1 John 4:17)

For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10)

And we are in him who is true - even in his Son Jesus Christ. (1 John 5:20)

You made him ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet. (Psalm 8:6)

The very hairs of your head are numbered. (Luke 12:7)

When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? (Psalm 8:3-4)

You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. (Psalm 8:5)

Dear Mr. President and Congress...

We are Men of Faith. We believe in God! We love Him and the things that He loves! We hate the things that He hates! (See Bible for more details)

We attempt to live righteous and holy lives. We work hard to be good citizens. Submitting to the authorities and the laws that govern us. We volunteer and serve. Pay everyone what is owed: taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due. (Romans 13:7)

We attend to matters of justice. Set things right between people. Rescue victims from their exploiters. Don't take advantage of the homeless, the orphans, the widows. To stop the murdering! (Jeremiah 22:3)

For far to long we have silently watched you operate. We've sat back and enjoyed the fruit of your labors. We've allowed you to make all the 'tough' decisions and do all the heavy lifting alone. Well, today this stops! You will no longer have to do this on your own. Get ready! Help is on the way!

We are focused and determined. We are diverse. Our skin is dark, olive and light.  We are color blind. We come from many nations. We are old and we are young. We are fighters and we are lovers. We are married and we are single. We are husbands, fathers, grandfathers, sons, nephews. We are bold and we are timid. We are activists and we are peacemakers. We are wise and sometimes foolish. We are rich and we are poor. We are your neighbors, your co-workers, your friends and your family. We are conservative, we are liberal, we are moderate. We are republican, we are democrat, we are independent. We are citizens, we are aliens. We are voters. We pay taxes. We work hard. We understand authority, humility, dignity, respect, honor, duty and compassion. We are strong. We are many (in the millions) and our numbers are growing daily.

We believe in the sanctity of life (from conception to a natural death), honor, justice, truth, freedom, safety, security and compassion! We will do everything within our power to rescue the victims of injustice, help the disadvantaged, fight for the exploited, defend the defenseless and expose and destroy corruption!

We thank you for awakening us from our deep slumber!

Get ready! Help is on the way!

By Dr. Brian Campbell, from Pearls, Scriptures to Live By

Abortion

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. (Psalm 139:13)

Your hands made me and formed me. (Psalm 119:3)

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart. (Jeremiah 1:5)

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. (Psalm 139:14)

My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. (Psalm 139:15-16)

This is what the Lord says - he who made you, who formed you in the womb. (Isaiah 44:2)

When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. (Luke 1:41)

From birth I was cast upon you; from my mother's womb you have been my God. (Psalm 22:10)

Yet you brought me out of the womb; you made me trust in you even at my mother's breast. (Psalm 22:19)

From birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother's womb. I will ever praise you. (Psalm 71:6)

All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. (Psalm 139:16)

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. (2 Corinthians 5:10)

have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. (Deuteronomy 30:19-20)

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)

Sarah Palin: My Life With Trig, Our Down Syndrome Child; Excerpt From New Book

A couple of years ago I began to notice some peculiar yet familiar physical symptoms, like the smell of cigarettes making me feel more nauseated than usual. For a few weeks, I brushed these aside. Then I began to suspect something.

There was no way I could buy a home pregnancy test in Alaska. I was the state governor. The supermarket cashiers would know, the people in the queue would know, and the next thing I'd see would be a headline. There were still a few things that I thought were not for public consumption, at least not at first.

My chance came when I flew to New Orleans to speak at an oil and gas conference. I asked my security guy to drop me off at a pharmacy. Back at the hotel, before my speech, I followed the instructions on the pregnancy test box. Slowly a pink image materialized on the stick. Holy geez!

Todd and I had always dreamt of a big family, and he, especially, dreamt of having another boy — bookends for his three daughters.

Take Action! Ask Senate to Include Pro-Life Language in Health-Care Reform

Ask Senate to Include Pro-Life Language in Health-Care Reform

Abortion funding was once again front and center today as the U.S. Senate took up its own version of health-care reform. The House voted earlier this month to approve an unprecedented health care reform package that is expected to cost taxpayers more than $1 trillion over the next decade.

The House version included a pro-life amendment from Reps. Bart Stupak, D-Mich., and Joe Pitts, R-Pa., that prevents taxpayer money from funding abortion. White House Senior Adviser David Axelrod has indicated President Barack Obama may intervene to strip out the pro-life language.

Prayer for Life - Pastor Phil Waisanen

The "American" Genocide: 50 Million Abortions.

gen⋅o⋅cide –noun "the deliberate and systematic extermination of a national, racial, political, or cultural group."

Through our actions and/or inactions, we are all responsible at some level...

So here's the question for us today-

Do we choose to support death (the deliberate and systematic extermination of a nation, racial, political, or cultural group) or do we choose life?

It's time to make a "choice". No more watching from a distance. No more letting someone else deal with the issue. It's time for us to engage the culture...

Justice demands that we pay a price for the 50 million innocent victims. We have brought on ourselves the disasters that we know suffer.

Our only hope is to turn to God! Join us in prayer for a National call to repentance.

Frequently Asked Questions: Stem Cell Research

Informative Article from Focus on the Family by Carrie Gordon Earll

While this topic is complex, it is important to understand the basic concepts of stem cell research and the potential danger that allowing research on human embryos poses to all of us.

Stem cell research is a new frontier in medical science. The current public debate primarily involves embryonic stem cell research. This debate will continue as government, science and society grapple with the ethical and moral questions raised by using human embryos for experimentation. While this topic is complex, it is important to understand the basic concepts of stem cell research and the potential danger that allowing research on human embryos poses to all of us.

Q. What is a stem cell?

Abortion Mandates in "Heath Care Reform" -- A Grave Danger to the Pro-Life Cause

The Obama Administration, working with powerful Democratic leaders in Congress, is trying to smuggle into federal law sweeping expansions of access to abortion on demand, including federal funding of abortion, through "health care reform" legislation. The House and Senate may vote on these bills in late July. This legislation poses one of the greatest threats to pro-life interests since Roe v. Wade.

An Update From Jim

We originally started the "LIFE" group out of a personal curiosity to see how many other pro-life people were on facebook. We have been overwhelmed by the explosive growth and by all the encouraging responses. We had no idea that this would happen. It's both exciting and humbling...

In response to your requests, we created this blog. Our hope is that it will become a safe place to gather for prayer, to get information on upcoming events and initiatives, to find encouragement and resources. Please be patient with us as we build the site.

In the mean time, send us info on upcoming National Events (with website links) and resource suggestions and we'll post them ASAP.

Email us at: lifegrouponfacebook@gmail.com

Thank you for believing in the sanctity of life.

Together in the battle,

Jim
